Logmation Inc. is a small business, technical consulting firm that provides innovative logistics automation solutions to government agencies and private industry.
Logmation specializes in Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) systems applied research, requirements and business case analysis, the planning and execution of design and development projects, field test and evaluation, and the implementation and full life cycle servicing of developmental and COTS systems. In the Department of Defense (DoD), AIDC is commonly referred to as Automatic Identification Technology, or AIT. AIT includes barcode, magnetic and optical card technologies, contact memory buttons, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and other related source data capture technologies.
Logmation expertise includes the development of seamless data interfaces between these systems and related management information systems, as well as World Wide Web-enabled communications with remote databases.
A primary focus area and experience base has been in the application of AIDC systems for the identification, tracking, locating and monitoring of DoD material, including hazardous material, such as sophisticated weapons and other conventional ordnance. This includes AIT inventory management and control systems and the application of micro-fabricated sensors to Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) devices, for environmental monitoring of individual items throughout their shelf life. |
